We invite you to the Annual Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30 p.m. at the Sandra N. Lloyd Performing Arts Center located at 12830 S. 1700 W. Admission is FREE.
Riverton City is sponsoring the Annual Christmas Lighting and Santa’s Arrival on Monday, December 1st at 6:30 p.m. at Riverton City Hall. Come and see Santa arrive in style on a big red fire engine!
We will have lots of FREE crafts for the kids while you wait your turn to see Santa! Then take a ride on the caroling hay ride, have a warm scone and some hot chocolate! Most activities will be indoors, but don’t forget to dress warm for the hay ride! Best of all, it’s all FREE!
Thanks to all those who participated in the annual Pumpkin Run - 5 Mile & Fun Run. Hopefully everyone had a great time and will return next year. You’re invited to our Annual Halloween Bash and RHS Drill Team Fundraiser on Monday, October 27th at 6:00 p.m. The Bash will be held at the Riverton City Main Park located at 12800 S. 1450 W. Hot dog dinner and carnival games will begin at 6:00 p.m. Game tickets are 4/$1.00 and the hot dog dinner is $3.00. We will also be showing “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” on our big, outdoor movie screen at 7:30 p.m. followed by our own “Search for the Great Pumpkin”. Movie and the Search for the Great Pumpkin events are FREE!! Dress warm, bring your flashlight and come prepared for lots of fun!!
Join Riverton, Herriman and the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce for our 3rdAnnual Pumpkin 5 Mile Run and 1 Mile Fun Run. Event will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Butterfield Park Pavilion (14200 S. 6212 W. in Herriman). The 5 Mile Run will start at 10:00 a.m. and the Fun Run at 10:15 a.m. Cost is $15 pre-registration w/t-shirt, $20 after October 16th and day of registration w/t-shirt, $10 without t-shirt anytime and the family rate is $50.00 (4-6 members w/t-shirt). Must pre-register by October 16, 2008 to receive family rate. Pre-registration being accepted at the Riverton Recreation Dept. Check-in and day of registration will be held between 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. at the Butterfield Park Pavilion.

Through Riverton City, residents are able to purchase emergency medical kits at half of their retail price. You can purchase either a Citizen Kit valued at $95.00 for only $39.95, a Police Car Kit valued at $130.00 for only $62.95 or a Family Group Kit for $99.95 valued at $175.00 (tax included). Riverton City will receive $5.00 for every kit purchased to help build the City’s emergency medical stockpile. Orders must be placed by December 12, 2008. Bring up to five boxes (300#) of your personal documents to be SECURELY SHREDDED on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Riverton City Main Park located at 12800 South 1400 West. Join us on Saturday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. for our "Fall Brawl" Demolition Derby. Derby will be held at the Riverton Rodeo Arena at 12800 South 1300 West. Gates will open at 5:30.
